Hashem's mercy remembered

3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

3:2 Speak no lashon hara (slandering) to anyone, abstain from being ohev riv (quarrelsome, fighting), [but] gentle, shewing all meekness to all men.

3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.

3:4 But after that the kindness and love of Elohim (אלהים) Moshieynu toward man appeared,

3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Ruach Ha Kodesh;

3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Yeshua (ישוע) Mashiach Moshieynu;

3:7 That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of Chayyei Olam (eternal life).

3:8 [This is] a faithful saying, and these things I will that you affirm constantly, that they which have believed in Elohim (אלהים) might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the Torah; for they are unprofitable and vain.

3:10 After the first and second admonition, have nothing to do with anyone who cause divisions.

3:11 knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.

3:12 When I shall send Artemas to thee, or Tuchikos, be diligent to come to me to Nikopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

3:13 Bring Zenas the lawyer (nomikos) and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting to them.

3:14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

3:15 All that are with me bid you shalom. Sheilat Shalom them that love us in the emunah. Favour [be] with you all. Amein.

About Apollos

This is the name of a   Yehudi "born at Alexandria," a man well versed in the Tenakh and eloquent (Acts 18:24). His name a short version of the Greek name Απολλως; = Apollonius. He came to Ephesus (about A.D. 49), where he spoke with boldness and courage in the synagogue (18:26) Aquila and Priscilla instructed in "the way of Elohim", i.e., in the knowledge of Messiah. He then proceeded to Corinth, where he met Shaul (Acts 18:27; 19:1). He was very useful there in watering the good seed Shaul had sown (1 Cor. 1:12), and bringing many to Messiah. He is a excellent co labour with Rav Shaul in the serving Yeshua  ha Mashiach. He was with Shaul at Ephesus when he wrote the First letter to the Corinthians; and Shaul makes kind reference to him in his letter to Titus (3:13).

Nicopolis (Greek: Νικόπολις, city of victory) or Actia Nicopolis was an ancient city of Epirus, The city of Nikopolis was founded following the victory of Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus (Augustus) in the naval battle of Actium in 31 BC. The colony, composed of settlers from a great many of the towns of the neighboring countries (Ambracia, Anaktorio, Calydon, Argos of Amphilochia, Leukas etc.), proved highly successful, and the city was considered the capital of southern Epirus and Acarnania, and obtained the right of sending five representatives to the Amphictyonic council. Nicopolis had about 30.000 citizens. The city is associated with the effort to establish Roman dominion and the whole process of 'Romanizing' Greece. The province of Nikopolis extended southwards from the mountains of Cassopeia as far as the province of Roman Patra and to the north from the river Acheloos to Leucas (present-day Lefkada).
