12:1 Efrayim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a Brit with the Ashshur, and oil is carried into Mitzrayim.
12:2 The YHWH (יהוה) hath also a controversy with Yehudah, and will punish Yaakov according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
12:3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with Elohim (אלהים):
12:4 Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him [in] Beit-El, and there he spake with us;
12:5 Even YHWH (יהוה) Elohei Tzva'ot; YHWH (יהוה) [is] his memorial.
12:6 Therefore turn thou to thy Elohim (אלהים): keep chesed and mishpat, and wait on thy Elohim (אלהים) continually.
12:7 [He is] a merchant, the balances of deceit [are] in his hand: he loveth to oppress.
12:8 And Efrayim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: [in] all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that [were] sin.
12:9 And I [that am] YHWH (יהוה) thy Elohim (אלהים) from the eretz of Mitzrayim will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
12:10 I have also spoken by ha Neviim, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of ha Neviim.
12:11 [Is there] iniquity [in] Gil`ad? surely they are vanity: they zevach (sacrifice) bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars [are] as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
12:12 And Yaakov fled into the country of Syria, and Yisrael served for a wife, and for a wife he kept [sheep].
12:13 And by a Navi YHWH (יהוה) brought Yisrael out of Mitzrayim, and by a Navi was he preserved.
12:14 Efrayim provoked [him] to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Adonay return unto him.
