The Kenosis (Self-Emptying) Hymn of Messiah Yeshua
2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Mashiach, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any loving kindness and mercies,
2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of One accord, of One mind.
2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Often called the Carmen Christi (Messiah Hymn), this passage is viewed by Messianic scholars as a profound expression of first-century Jewish monotheism
2:5 Have this attitude in yourselves, which was also in Mashiach Yeshua (ישוע):
2:6 Who, although HE existed in the form of Elohim, did not regard equality with Elohim a thing to be grasped:
2:7 But emptied HIMSELF, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men:
2:8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the stauros (stake).
2:9 Wherefore Elohim also has highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name:
2:10 אֲשֶׁר בְּשֵׁם יֵשׁוּעַ תִּכְרַע כָּל־בֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ וּמִתַּחַת לָאָרֶץ׃
Asher beShem Yeshua tichra kol-berech asher bashamayim uva'aretz umitachat la'aretz.
That at the Name of Yeshua (ישוע) EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth,
And that every tongue should confess that Yeshua (ישוע) Mashiach is Adonai (gr. Kurios), to the glory of Elohim the Father.
2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (TEHILLIM 2:11)
2:13 For it is Elohim which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
2:15 That you may be blameless and harmless, benai of Elohim, without fault, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world;
2:16 Holding fast the word of life; so that I may rejoice in the Yom haMashiach, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
2:17 Yes, and if my neshamah poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
2:18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
Timotheos and Epaphroditos
2:19 But I trust in Adonai Yeshua (ישוע) to send Timotheos shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
2:20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
2:21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Yeshua (ישוע) Mashiach's.
2:22 But you know his proven character, that, as a son with his father, he served with me in the goodnews.
2:23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
2:24 But I trust in Adonai that I also myself shall come shortly.
2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditos, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
2:26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.
2:27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but Elohim had mercy on Him; and not on Him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
2:28 I sent Him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see Him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
2:29 Receive Him therefore in Adonay with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:
2:30 Because for the work of Mashiach he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

Epaphroditus is mentioned in Philippians 2:25–30 and Philippians 4:18 as a companion and messenger who brought gifts to Paul and nearly died for the work of Christ.
Yeshua was rewarded with exaltation after humiliation (compare his own teaching at Mattityahu 18:4, 23:12; Loukas 14:7-11, 18:9-14). HaShem has raised Him to the highest place, at his "right hand" (Tehillim 110:1; see Mattityahu 22:44 N), where he shares "honor, glory and power" with the Father (Rev 5:13).
Yeshua the Messiah is Adonai (Greek kurios). can mean anything from the tetragrammaton (Yuh Hei Vav Hei, the personal name of HaShem, rendered "Adonai" to "Lord" (in the sense of HaShem as universal ruler) to "lord" (in the human sense) to merely "Sir or Master" (a respectful form of address). Because Yeshayahu 45:21-23, which in Ani MaAmin (I believe) in the own context applies to YUH HEI VAV HEI, is quoted in v. 10 in reference to Yeshua, not only "Lord" in a lesser sense.
