45:1 The Dvar that Yirmeyahu ha Navi spoke to Baruch Ben Neryah, when he had written these Devarim in a sefer at the mouth of Yirmeyahu, in the fourth year of Yehoyakim Ben Yoshiyahu melekh Yehudah, saying,
45:2 Thus said ADONAI (יהוה), the Elohim (אלהים) of Yisra'el, to you, O Baruch;
45:3 You didst say, Woe is me now! for ADONAI (יהוה) has added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.
45:4 Thus shall you say to him, ADONAI (יהוה) said thus; Hinei, [that] which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
45:5 And seekest you great things for thyself? seek [them] not: for, Hinei, I will bring evil upon all flesh, declares ADONAI (יהוה): but your life will I give to you for a prey in all places whither you go.
