PERSONAL: Paulos (Παυλος) DEFENDS HIS AUTHORITY

1:1 Paulos (Παυλος), a Shliach, (not of men, not appointed by man, but by the hand of Yeshua (ישוע) ha Mashiach, and Elohim (אלהים) ha Avi, who raised him from house of the dead;)

1:2 And all the brethren who are with me in the congregations of Galatia (Γαλατία):

1:3 Grace to you and Peace from Elohim (אלהים) ha Avi, and from Adoneinu Yeshua (ישוע) Mashiach,

1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to ha ratzon Elohim (אלהים) and Avinu:

1:5 To whom be the glory to ages of ages Amein.

1:6 I marvel that how quickly you have turn away from the Mashiach who called you by the grace of Mashiach, to different good news

1:7 Which is not another; but there are some that are troubling you, and wanted to distort the Good News of Mashiach.

1:8 But though we, or a Messenger from heaven, proclaim any other "good news" to you than that what we have proclaimed to you, let him be accursed.

1:9 As we have said before, so now I say again, If anyone proclaims any other "good news" to you than that what you have received, let him be accursed.

1:10 For do I now persuade men, or Elohim (אלהים)? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I should not be the bondservant of Mashiach.

Call to be the sent one

(Acts 9:1-25)

1:11 But I make known to you, Achim, that the Good News which was proclaimed of me is to man.

1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Yeshua (ישוע) Mashiach.

1:13 For you have heard of my former conduct at one time in the Yahadut' (Judaism), how I use to persecuted the assembly of Elohim (אלהים) beyond measure and tried to devasted it:

1:14 and I was advancing in (Orthodox) Yahadut above many of my contempories among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

1:15 But when it well-approved Elohim (אלהים), who set me apart even from my mother's womb, and called me through His unmerited favour,

1:16 To reveal the manifestation of His Son in me, that I should proclaim Him among the Goyim; I did not immediately consult with anyone:

1:17 Neither did I go up to Yerushalayim to those who were Shlichim before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again to Demeskus.

1:18 Then after three years I went up to Yerushalayim to see Kefas (Petros- Πέτρος), and stayed with him fifteen days.

1:19 But other of the Shluchim saw I none, save Ya'akov achi Adonay.

1:20 Now concerning the things that I write to you, behold, before Elohim (אלהים) I testify, I lie not.

1:21 Then I went into the regions of Suria (Συρία) and Kilikia (Κιλικία);

1:22 And I was unknown by face to the assemblies of Yehudah which were in Mashiach:

1:23 The only thing they had heard was this: "The man who persecuted us is now proclaiming the Faith that he once tried to destroy."

1:24 And they glorified Elohim (אלהים) in me.

Galatia  root word the noun γαλα (gala) means milk, and survives in the English term "galactic acid". Our noun's genitive form is galaktos, hence the name galaktos kuklos or Milky Circle for our English word "galaxy" or Milky Way.was a region in north-central Anatolia (modern Turkey), just south of coastal Paphlagonia, north of Phrygia (to its south-west) and Cappadocia (to its south-east). Galatia became peopled by European Celts who had moved east during the confusing decades that followed the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BC — the famous statue of the Dying Gaul depicts a scene from a battle waged not in France but in Galatia. Its capital was Ancyra, modern Ankara.

Paulos (Παῦλος) a shliach meaning the send one to assert his divinely given authority to speak to the problem confronting the Assembly in Galatia (Γαλατία).

Who were the Galates?

The ethnic of Galates were celts who migrated from central Europe to Asia minor in the third century B.C. They settled in the area around Ankara, the captial of present day Turkey. The Paulos (Παῦλος)' day the native Galates dialect was still spoken there.
