(Matt 3:1- 12; Luke 3:1-9, 15-17 Yochanan 1:19 -28)
1:1 The beginning of the good news of Yehoshua (יהושע) Ha Mashiach, Ben Elohim (אלהים);
1:2 As it is written in Yeshayahu haNavi:
"Behold, I send my messenger before your face, which shall prepare your way before you. (Shemot 23:20; Malachi 3:1)
1:3 The voice of one crying in the midbar:
Prepare you the way of YHWH (יהוה), make His paths straight.
1:4 Yochanan the immerser appeared in the midbar, and proclaiming a tevilah teshuvah (repentance) for the selichat averot (remission of sins).
1:5 And there went out to Him all eretz Yehudah, and they of Yerushalayim, and were all mikveh of Him in the river of Yarden, confessing their averot (sins).
1:6 And Yochanan was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and He did eat locusts and wild honey;
1:7 And proclaimed, saying:
"There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.
1:8 I indeed have mikveh you with mayim: but He shall mikveh you with the Ruach Ha Kodesh.
( Matt 3:13-17; Matt 4:1- 11; Loukas 3:21,22 Luke 4:1- 13)
1:9 And it came to pass in those days, that Yehoshua (יהושע) came from Natzaret of Galil, and was mikveh of Yochanan in Yarden.
1:10 And straightway coming up out of the mayim, He saw the Shamayim opened, and the Ruach like a dove descending upon him:
1:11 Then a voice came from heaven,
"You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Barasheet 22:2, Tehillim 2:7; Yeshayahu 42:1)
1:12 And immediately the Ruach drives Him into the midbar.
1:13 And He was there in the midbar forty days, tempted of satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the messengers ministered to Him.
Yehoshua begins His Ministry in Galil
(Matt 4:12-17; Luke 4:14,15)
1:14 Now after that Yochanan was put in prison, Yehoshua (יהושע) came into Galil, proclaiming the good news of the Malkut Elohim (אלהים),
1:15 And saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the Malkut Elohim (אלהים) is at hand: repent and believe in the good news."
Yehoshua (יהושע) calls four fishermen
(Matt 4:18-22; Luke 5:1-11)
1:16 Now as He walked by the Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galil), He saw Shimon and Andreas his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishermen.
1:17 And Yehoshua (יהושע) said to them:
Come follow Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
1:18 And immediately they dropped their nets, and followed Him.
1:19 When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw Yaakov Ben-Zavdai, and Yochanan his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets.
And when He had gone a little further thence, He saw Yaakov Ben-Zavdai, and his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.
1:20 And at once He called them: and they left their father Zavdai in the ship with the hired servants, and went after Him.
(Luke 4:31-37)
1:21 And they went into K'far-Nachum; and straightway on Shabbat He entered into the shul, and taught.
1:22 And they were astonished at His teaching: for He taught them as one that had authority, and not as the Sophrim.
1:23 And there was in their shul a man with an ruach ha tamei (unclean spirit); and He cried out,
1:24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with You,
Yehoshua (יהושע) of Nazaret?
Are You come to destroy us?
I know You who You are, the Set Apart One of Elohim (אלהים).
1:25 And Yehoshua (יהושע) rebuked Him, saying:
Shekit! Geitzich! (be quiet), and come out of Him.
1:26 And when the ruach ha tamei (unclean spirit) had torn Him, and cried with a loud voice, He came out of Him.
1:27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new teaching [is] this? for with authority commands He even the ruach ha tamei, and they do obey Him.
1:28 And immediately His fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galil.
(Matt 8:14-17; Loukas 4:38-41)
1:29 And forthwith, when they were come out of the shul, they entered into the house of Shimon and Andreas, with Yaakov and Yochanan.
1:30 But Shimon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell Him of her.
1:31 And He came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered to them.
1:32 And at even, when *the sun did set, they brought to Him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with shedim (demons). *tBs yajvm(motza'ey Shabbat "going out of Shabbat ended")
1:33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.
1:34 And He healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many shedim; and suffered not the shedim to speak, because they knew Him.
Yehoshua Ministers in all of Galil
(Luke 4:42-44)
1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, He went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
1:36 And Shimon and they that were with Him followed after Him.
1:37 And when they had found Him, they said to Him, All [men] seek for you.
1:38 And He said to them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may proclaim there also: for therefore came I forth.
1:39 And He proclaimed in their shul throughout all Galil, and cast out shedim.
(Matt 8:1-4; Luke 5:12-16)
1:40 Now ish metzorah (leper) came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me tahor (clean)."
1:41 And Yehoshua (יהושע), moved with compassion, put forth [his] hand, and touched Him, and said to Him, I will; be you clean.
1:42 And as soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from Him, and He was cleansed.
1:43 And He severely charged Him, and forthwith sent Him away;
1:44 And said to Him, See you say nothing to any man: but go your way, shew yourself to the kohen, and offer for your cleansing those things which Mosheh commanded, for a testimony to them.
1:45 But He went out, and began to publish [it] much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Yehoshua (יהושע) could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to Him from every quarter.
