THE RETURN OF GOLUS UNDER Ezra (עזרא)
1:1 Now in the first year of Koresh melekh Paras (Persia), that the Dvar ADONAI (יהוה) by the mouth of Yirmeyahu might be fulfilled, ADONAI (יהוה) stirred up the spirit of Koresh melekh Paras, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and [put it] also in writing, saying:
1:2 Thus said Koresh melekh Paras, ADONAI (יהוה) Elohim (אלהים) of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he has charged me to build Him a house at Yerushalayim, which [is] in Yehudah.
1:3 Who [is there] among you of all His people? Elohav be with him, and let him make aliyah (go up to) l' Yerushalayim, which [is] in Yehudah, and build ha Beit ADONAI (יהוה) Elohei Yisrael, (he is ha Elohim) which [is] in Yerushalayim.
1:4 And whosoever remains in any place where he sojourns, let the men of his place help him with kesef (silver), and with zahav (gold), and with goods, and with beasts, beside the nedavah (freewill offering) for Beit Elohim (אלהים) that [is] in Yerushalayim.
1:5 Va ya kumu (rose up) ha roshei ha avot l'Yehudah ve Benyamin, ve ha kohanim, ve ha Leviim, with all [them] whose Ruach Elohim (אלהים) had raised, to go up to build the Beit ADONAI (יהוה) which [is] in Yerushalayim.
1:6 And all they that [were] about them strengthened their hands with vessels of kesef (silver), with zahav (gold), with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all [that] was willingly offered.
1:7 Also Koresh ha melekh brought forth the vessels of the Beit ADONAI (יהוה), which Nevukadnetzar had brought forth out of Yerushalayim, and had put them in the house of his elohim (gods);
1:8 Even those did Koresh melekh Paras bring forth by the hand of Mitredat the treasurer, and numbered them to Sheshbatztzar, ha nasi (prince) Yehudah.
1:9 And this [is] the number of them:
thirty chargers of zahav (gold), a thousand chargers of kesef (silver), nine and twenty knives,
1:10 Thirty basins of zahav, kesef basins of a second [sort] four hundred and ten, [and] other vessels a thousand.

All the vessels of zahav and of kesef [were] five thousand
and four hundred. All [these] did Sheshbazar bring up with
[them of] the golus (גּולה) that were brought up from Bavel to
Yerushalayim.

Ha Sefer Ezra (עזרא) n Nechemyah were originally one volume. Sefer Ezra (עזרא) recounts the efforts of the golus who returned from Bavel to rebuild the temple.Under the leadership of Yeshua, ha Kohen gadol, and Zerubavel (זרבּב), the governor over the region, proper worship and the ceremonies associated with it were restored in Yerushalayim.
The Yehudim had been carried away to Bavel in three stages likewise they returned with the permission of the Parsi in three stages.. 2 Kings 24:11-16;25:11; Jer 52:28-30; Ezek 3:15; Ezra (עזרא) 2:59; 8:17 However the epilogue to the book of Yirmeyahu gives what seem to be fairly accurate figures for three stage of golus from Yehudah.

Golus Yisrael (Exile) (587-539 BCE)
Yirmeyahu - meaning whom ADONAI has appointed. He is a Navi (prophet) of Elohim who foretold the destruction and captivity of Yehudah by the Bavel. He was also the writer of the sefer Yirmeyahu and Eikhah.
Zerubavel (זרבּב) - the grandson of king Yehoiyakin; stranger in Babylon
Sheshbazzar is the Hebrew or Aramaic form of the Babylonian Shamash-aba-uṣur, or Shamash-bana-uṣur: “Oh Shamash, protect the father.”recognized as the legitimate heir to the throne of David

A. The Decree of Koresh (Cyrus)
The first three verses duplicate the last two verses of Divre ha Yamin Bet. Hashem used Koresh, melekh Paras, to issue a proclamation permitting the Yehudim to return to Yehudah and to rebuild Ha Mikdash in Yerushalayim. In addition, he commanded their neighbours to contribute generously to the returning remnant. Many years before his birth, Koresh had been named by Hashem and set apart for this high destiny (Yeshayahu 44:28–45:13). He illustrates the truth of Pro_21:1 : "The king's heart is in the hand of ADONAI, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes."
The decree ended seventy years of golus for the Yehudim. The seventy-year period can be calculated in two ways: from 605 B.C., when Nevukadnetztzar attacked Yerushalayim and led off the first deportation, to 535 B.C., when the foundation of the temple was laid; or from the fall of Yerushalayim, in 586 B.C., to the completion of Ha Mikdash, in 516 B.C.
The Return to Tzyon
The return from exile. Whe Koresh (Cyrus) and Parsi captured Bavel in 539 BCEa, the way was opened for golus Yehudah to begin the return of her homeland. Two major expeditions made the journey, one in 537 BC and another in 458 B.C

Divre ha Yamin Bet (2 Chronicles) 36:11-21 to fulfill the Dvar ADONAI by the mouth of Yirmeyahu, until the land had enjoyed its shabbatot. All the days of its desolation it kept shabbat until seventy years were complete.
