3:1 And he shewed me Yehoshua Kohen HaGadol standing before the messenger of ADONAI (יהוה), and satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.
3:2 And ADONAI (יהוה) said to satan, ADONAI (יהוה) rebuke thee, O satan; even ADONAI (יהוה) that has chosen Yerushalayim rebuke thee: [is] not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3:3 Now Yehoshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the messenger.
3:4 And he answered and spoke to those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And to him he said, hinei, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
3:5 And I said, Let them set a tzanif tahor (clean turban, mitznefet) upon his head. So they set a tzanif tahor (clean turban, mitznefet) upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the messenger of ADONAI (יהוה) stood by.
3:6 And the messenger of ADONAI (יהוה) protested to Yehoshua, saying,
3:7 Thus said ADONAI (יהוה) Tzva'ot;
"If thou wilt halak in My derek, and if thou wilt shomer My mishmeret (charge,service), then thou shall also judge My house, and shall also guard My courts, and I will give thee places to halak among these that stand by.
3:8' Shema now, O Yehoshua Kohen HaGadol, Thou, and thy companions who sit before thee:
For they [are] men a wondrous sign:
For, hinei, I will bring forth My Eved the TZEMACH (branch).
3:9 For hinei the stone that I have laid before Yehoshua; upon one stone [shall be] seven eyes: hinei, I will engrave the graving thereof, said ADONAI (יהוה) Tzva'ot, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in yom echad.
3:10 B'Yom ha Hu, said ADONAI (יהוה) Tzva'ot, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the teenah (fig tree).
