Transformed by unmerited favour (Grace)
5:1 I WARN and counsel the elders among you as fellow elder and as an eyewitness of the sufferings of Mashiach, as well as a sharer in the glory that is to be revealed.
5:2 Shepherd the flock of Elohim that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly not dishonorably motivated by the advantages and profits but of a ready mind.
5:3 Neither as being master over [Elohim's] heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
5:4 And when the Roei Ha Gadol (chief shepherd) shall appear, you shall receive a crown of tiferet that fades not away.
5:5 Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves to the Zekenim (Elders). Yes, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for Elohim resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.
5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of Elohim, that he may exalt you in due time:
5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for He cares for you.
5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:
5:9 Whom resist steadfast in the emunah, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
5:10 But the Elohim of all grace, who has called us to his eternal tiferet by Mashiach Yehoshua (יהושע) , after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].
5:11 To him [be] tiferet and dominion forever and ever. Amein.
5:12 By Silouanos, a faithful brother to you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of Elohim wherein you stand.
5:13 The [Assembly that is] at Babylon, elected together with [you], salutes you; and [so does] Markos my son.
5:14 Greet you one another with a kiss of ahavah. Shalom [be] with you all that are in Mashiach Yehoshua (יהושע) . Amein.
