11:1 ¶ And there was given me a reed like to a rod: and the Messenger stood, saying, Rise, and measure the heikhal of Elohim (אלהים), and the altar, and them that worship therein.
11:2 "Leave out the courtyard which is outside the heikhal and do not measure it, because it has given to the Gentiles and they will trample the Set Apart City for arba'im and shenayim chodashim (42 Months): Daniel 7:25 and 12:7, Isaiah 63:18; Zecharia 12:3
11:3 ¶ And I will give [power] to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
11:4 These are the two olive trees (Shnei Zeitim), and the two menorot standing before the Elohim (אלהים) of the earth. Zechariah 4
11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 2nd Kings 1:10; Jeremiah 5:14
11:6 These have power to shut Shamayim, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. Exodus 7:17, Exo 7:19; 1Kings 17:1
11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. Dani'el 7:3, Daniel 7:7, Dani'el 7:21
11:8 And their dead bodies [shall lie] in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sedom and Mitzrayim, where also Adoneinu was impaled. Isaiah 1:9
11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a kever (tomb).
11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two Neviim tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from Elohim (אלהים) entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. Ezekiel 37:5, Ezekiel 37:10
11:12 And they heard a great voice from Shamayim saying to them, Aleh le'chan! And they ascended up to Shamayim in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 2nd Kings 2:11
11:13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the Elohei (אלהים) of heaven.
11:14 ¶ The second woe is past; [and], Hinnei, the third woe comes quickly.
The Seven Trumpet, Mashiach's Reign Foreseen
11:15 And the seventh Messenger sounded; and there were great voices in Shamayim, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become [the kingdoms] of Adoneinu, and of his haMashiach; and he shall reign forever and ever. Psa 22:28; Dani'el 2:31-45; Dani'el 7:13-14, Daniel 7:27; Zechariah 14:9
11:16 And the four and twenty Zekenim, which sat before Elohim (אלהים) on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped Elohim (אלהים),
11:17 Saying,
"We give You thanks, O Adonai Elohim (אלהים) Almighty, who are and who were, because You have taken Your great power and the great power that are Yours and for beginning to reign. Psa 2:1; 2nd Thess 1:3-12
Notice a vital grammatical shift: in earlier chapters, God is addressed as the One “who is, was, and is to come.” But here, the phrase “is to come” is dropped. Why? Because He has arrived! The future has become the present reality.11:18 And the nations were enraged, and your wrath is come, and the time has come to judge the dead, and that you should give reward to your avadim the Neviim, and to the Kiddishim, and them that fear Your Name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth.
11:19 And the heichal of Elohim (אלהים) was opened in Shamayim, and there was seen in his heikhal the Aron haBrit (diatheke) : and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. 1Kings 8:1-12 ; Shemot 19:16-19)
