The Parable of the Wise and foolish Bridesmaids

Eschatological discourse delivered by Yeshua on the Har HaZeitim (Mount of Olives).

The Macro-to-Micro Link:

25:1  Then shall the the Kingdom of Heaven be likened to eser almot (ten Bridesmaids), which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

The Parable of the Ten Bridesmaids:

25:2 And five of them were wise, and five [were] foolish.

25:3 They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

25:5 When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

25:6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: Shemot (Exodus) 11:4, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Revelation 4:1-2

"Hinei, the Bridegroom! Comes  out to meet Him".

25:7 Then all those Bridesmaids arose, and trimmed their lamps.

25:8 And the foolish said to the wise:

"Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out."

25:9 But the wise answered, saying:

"[Not so]; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves."

25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

25:11 Afterward came also the other Bridesmaids, saying, Adonay, Adonay, open to us.

25:12 But he answered and said:

"Truly I say to you,

I know you not. "

25:13 Therefore, be on the alert be prepared and ready, for you do not know the day nor the hour when the Son of Man will come.

The Parable of the Talents

(Luke 19:11-27)

25:14  For it is like kingdom of Heaven  a man travelling to a far country, who called his own servants, and entrusted  them his possessions to them.

25:15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.

25:16 Then he who had received the five talentswent and traded with them, and made another five talents.

25:17 “In the same way the one who had received the two talents earned two more.

25:18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his master's money.

25:19  “Now after a long time the master of those slaves *came and *settled accounts with them.“

25:20 The one who had received the five talents came up and brought other five talents, saying, Master, you entrusted  to me five talents: hinei, I have earned five talents more.

25:21 “His Master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your Master.’

25:22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Master, you entrusted  me two talents: hinnei, I have gained two more talents.

25:23 His Master said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter you into the joy of your Master.

25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Master, I knew you that you are an hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.

25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.'

25:26  "But his master answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.

25:27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.

25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give [it] to him which has ten talents.

25:29 For to every one that has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has not shall be taken away even that which he has.

25:30 And cast you the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The Son of Man will judge the Nations The Goyim Sheep and the Goats:

25:31 When the SON OF MAN shall come in His kavod, and all the set apart malakhim with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His kavod:

25:32 And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides [his] sheep from the goats:

25:33 And he shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.

The Blueprint of Verse 34

25:34  “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

25:37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Master, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?

25:38  ‘And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?

25:39

Or when saw we you sick, or in prison, and came to You?

25:40 And the King will answer and say to them:

"Truly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'."

25:41 Then shall he say also to them on the left hand,

"Depart from me, you cursed, into Eish Olam (Eternal Fire), prepared for the devil and his malakhim":

25:42 For

I was an hungry, and you gave Me not to eat:

I was thirsty, and you gave Me no drink:

25:43

I was a stranger, and you entertained Me not:

I was naked, and you clothed Me not:

I was sick, and in prison, and you visited Me not.

25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying:

Adonay, when saw we you an hungry,

or athirst,

or a stranger,

or naked,

or sick,

or in prison, and did not minister to thee?

25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying:

"Truly I say to you:

Inasmuch as you did [it] not to one of the least of these, you did [it] not to Me."

25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
