11:1 I say then, has Elohim (אלהים) cast away His people? Chalilah (Far be it).
For I also am an Yisraelite, of the zerah Avraham, [of] the Shevet BenYamin.
11:2 Elohim (אלהים) has not cast away His people which he foreknew. Wot you not what the scripture said of EliaYahu? how he makes intercession to Elohim (אלהים) against Yisrael, saying,
11:3 Adonay, they have killed your Neviim, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
11:4 But what said the answer of Elohim (אלהים) to him?
I have reserved to Myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to [the image of] Baal.
11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of unmerited favour.
11:6 And if by unmerited favour, then [is it] no more of works: otherwise unmerited favour is no more unmerited favour. But if [it be] of works, then is it no more unmerited favour: otherwise work is no more work.
11:7 What then? Yisrael has not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election has obtained it, and the rest were blinded
11:8 (According as it is written, Elohim (אלהים) has given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) to this day.
11:9 And Daviyd said:
Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence to them:
11:10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? Let it never be: but [rather] through their fall salvation [is come] to the Goyim, for to provoke them to jealousy.
11:12 Now if the fall of them [be] the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Goyim; how much more their fulness?
11:13 For I speak to you Goyim, inasmuch as I am the shaliach of the Goyim, I magnify mine office:
11:14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation [them which are] my flesh, and might save some of them.
11:15 For if the casting away of them [be] the reconciling of the world, what [shall ] the receiving [of them be], but life from the dead?
11:16 For if the bikkurim [be] set apart, the lump [is] also [holy]: and if the root [be] set apart, so [are] the branches.
And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and became partakers with them of the rich root of the olive tree;
Do not be arrogant toward the branches. But if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root but the root supports you.
11:19 You will say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you standest by emunah. Be not highminded, but fear:
11:21 For if Elohim (אלהים) spared not the natural branches, [take heed] lest he also spare not you.
11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of Elohim (אלהים): on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in [his] goodness: otherwise you also shall be cut off.
11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for Elohim (אלהים) is able to graff them in again.
11:24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural [branches], be graffed into their own olive tree?
11:25 For I would not, Achim (Brethren), that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Yisrael, until the fulness of the Goyim be come in.
11:26 And so all Yisrael shall be saved:
As it is written:
There shall come out of Tzyon the Deliverer, and shall turn away wickness from Yaakov:
11:27 For this [is] My BRIT to them, when I shall take away their sins.
11:28 As concerning the good news, [they are] enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, [they are] beloved for the fathers' sakes.
11:29
For the gifts and calling of Elohim
(אלהים) [are] without teshuvah.
11:30 For as you in times past have not believed Elohim (אלהים), yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
11:32 For Elohim (אלהים) has concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of Elohim (אלהים)! how unsearchable [are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
11:34 For who has known the mind of Adonay? or who has been his counsellor?
11:35 Or who has first given to him, and it shall be recompensed to him again?
11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, [are] all things: to whom [be] glory le olam va ed. Amein.
