91:1 ֖יֹשֵב בְּסֵ֣תֶר עֶלְיוֹ֑ן בְּצֵ֥ל ֜שַדַּ֗י יִתְלוֹנָֽן׃
yoshev beseter Elyon betzel Shadai yitlonan.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Elyon Shall abide under the
tzel
Shaddai
(shadow of the Almighty).
Ο κατοικων υπο την σκεπην του Υψιστου υπο την σκιαν του Παντοκρατορος θελει διατριβει.
O katoikon ypo tin skepin tou Ypsistou ypo tin skian tou Pantokratoros thelei diatrivei.
住在至高者隱密處的，必住在全能者的蔭下。
91:2 אֹמַ֗ר ֖לַיְהֹוָה מַחְסִ֣י וּמְצוּדָתִ֑י ֜אֱלֹהַ֗י אֶבְטַח-בּוֹֽ׃
Omar lYehovah machsi umetzudati Elohai evtach-bo.
I will say of YHVH (יהוה), "He is my
refuge (מחסי) and my fortress (מצודתי); Elohai, in Him I will trust.
Θελω λεγει προς τον Κυριον, Συ εισαι καταφυγη μου και φρουριον μου· Θεος μου· επ' αυτον θελω ελπιζει.
Thelo legei pros ton Kyrion, Sy eisai katafygi mou kai frourion mou: Theos mou: ep' afton thelo elpizei.
我要論到耶和華說：他是我的避難所，是我的山寨，是我的神，是我所倚靠的。
91:3 כִּ֤י הוּ֣א ֖יַצִּילְךָ מִפַּ֥ח יָקוּ֗ש מִדֶּ֥בֶר הַווֹֽת׃
Ki Hu yatzilcha mipach yakush midever havot.
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the
deadly pestilence.
Διοτι αυτος θελει σε λυτρονει εκ της παγιδος των κυνηγων και εκ θανατηφορου λοιμου.
Dioti aftos thelei se lytrónei ek tis pagidos ton kynigon kai ek thanatiforou loimou.
他必救你脫離捕鳥人的網羅和毒害的瘟疫。
91:4 בְּאֶבְרָתוֹ֨ ׀ יָ֥סֶךְ לָ֗ךְ וְתַ֣חַת כְּנָפָ֣יו תֶּחְסֶ֑ה צִנָּ֖ה וְסֹחֵרָ֣ה אֲמִתּוֹֽ׃
Be'evrato yasech lach vetachat kenafav techseh tzinah vesocherah amito.
He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His kenafayim (wings) you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
Με τα πτερα αυτου θελει σε σκεπαζει, και υπο τας πτερυγας αυτου θελεις εισθαι ασφαλης· η αληθεια αυτου ειναι πανοπλια και ασπις.
Me ta ptera aftou thelei se skepazei, kai ypo tas pterygas aftou theleis eisthai asfalis: i alitheia aftou einai panoplia kai aspis.
他必用自己的翎毛遮蔽你；你要投靠在他的翅膀底下；他的誠實是大小的盾牌。
91:5 לֹא-֖תִירָא מִפַּ֣חַד לָ֑יְלָה ֜מֵחֵ֗ץ יָ֘עוּ֥ף יוֹמָֽם׃
Lo-tira mipachad layelah mechetz ya'uf yomam.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Δεν θελεις φοβεισθαι απο φοβου νυκτερινου, την ημεραν απο βελους πετωμενου.
Den theleis foveisthai apo fovou nykterinou, tin imeran apo velous petomenou.
你必不怕黑夜的驚駭，或是白日飛的箭，
91:6 ֖מִדֶּבֶר בָּאֹ֣פֶל יַהֲלֹ֑ךְ ֜מִקֶּ֗טֶב יָ֘שוּ֥ד צָהֳרָֽיִם׃
Midever ba'ofel yahaloch miketev yashud tzohorayim.
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that
lays waste at noonday.
Απο θανατικου, το οποιον περιπατει εν σκοτει· απο ολεθρου, οστις ερημονει εν μεσημβρια·
Apo thanatikou, to opoion peripatei en skotei: apo olethrou, ostis erimonei en mesimvria:
也不怕黑夜行的瘟疫，或是午間滅人的毒病。
91:7 יִפֹּ֤ל מִצִּדְּךָ֨ ׀ אֶ֗לֶף וּרְבָבָ֥ה מִימִינֶ֑ךָ ֜אֵלֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א יִגָּֽש׃
Yipol mitzidecha elef urevavah miminecha eleicha lo yigash.
A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
Χιλιας θελει πιπτει εξ αριστερων σου και μυριας εκ δεξιων σου· πλην εις σε δεν θελει πλησιαζει.
Chilias thelei piptei ex aristeron sou kai myrias ek dexion sou: plin eis se den thelei plisiazei.
雖有千人仆倒在你旁邊，萬人仆倒在你右邊，這災卻不得臨近你。
91:8 ֖רַק בְּעֵינֶ֣יךָ תַבִּ֑יט וְשִלֻּמַ֖ת רְשָעִ֣ים תִּרְאֶֽה׃
Rak be'eineicha tabit veshilumat resha'im tir'eh.
Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
Μονον με τους οφθαλμους σου θελεις θεωρει και θελεις βλεπει των ασεβων την ανταποδοσιν.
Monon me tous ofthalmous sou theleis theorei kai theleis vlepei ton asevon tin antapodosin.
你惟親眼觀看，見惡人遭報。
91:9 כִּי-אַתָּ֣ה יְהֹוָ֣ה מַחְסִ֑י ֜עֶלְיוֹ֗ן שַׂ֣מְתָּ מְעוֹנֶֽךָ׃
Ki-atah Yehovah machsi Elyon samta me'onecha.
Because you have made YHVH (יהוה), who is my
refuge (מחסי), Even Elyon,
your dwelling place (מָעֹון
)
Επειδη συ τον Κυριον, την ελπιδα μου, τον Υψιστον εκαμες καταφυγιον σου,
Epeidi sy ton Kyrion, tin elpida mou, ton Ypsiston ekames katafygion sou,
耶和華是我的避難所；你已將至高者當你的居所，
91:10 לֹא-תְאֻנֶּ֣ה אֵלֶ֣יךָ רָעָ֑ה ֜וְנֶ֗גַע לֹא-יִקְרַ֥ב בְּאָהֳלֶֽךָ׃
Lo-te'uneh eleicha ra'ah venega lo-yikrav be'oholecha.
No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.
δεν θελει συμβαινει εις σε κακον, και μαστιξ δεν θελει πλησιαζει εις την σκηνην σου.
den thelei symvainei eis se kakon, kai mastix den thelei plisiazei eis tin skinin sou.
禍患必不臨到你，瘟疫必不接近你的帳篷。
91:11 כִּ֣י ֖מַלְאָכָיו יְצַוֶּה-לָּ֑ךְ ֜לִשְמָרְךָ֗ בְּכׇל-דְּרָכֶֽיךָ׃
Ki mal'achav yetzavveh-lach lishmarecha bechol-deracheicha.
For He shall give His malakhim (messengers) charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
Διοτι θελει προσταξει εις τους αγγελους αυτου περι σου, δια να σε διαφυλαττωσιν εν πασαις ταις οδοις σου.
Dioti thelei prostaxei eis tous angelous aftou peri sou, dia na se diafylattosin en pasais tais odois sou.
因他要為你吩咐他的使者，在你行的一切道路上保護你。
91:12 עַל-כַּפַּ֥יִם יִשָׂאוּ֑נְךָ פֶּן-תִּגֹּ֖ף בָּאֶ֣בן רַגְלֶֽךָ׃
Al-kapayim yisa'unecha pen-tigof ba'evn raglecha.
In their hands they shall bear you up, 
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Θελουσι σε σηκονει επι των χειρων αυτων, δια να μη προσκοψης προς λιθον τον ποδα σου.
Thelousi se sikonei epi ton cheiron afton, dia na mi proskopsis pros lithon ton poda sou.
他們要用手托著你，免得你的腳碰在石頭上。
91:13 עַל-שַ֣חַל וָפֶ֣תֶן תִּדְרֹ֑ךְ תִּ֜רְמֹ֗ס כְּפִ֣יר וְתַנִּֽין׃
Al-shachal vafeten tidroch tirmos kefir vetanin.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.
Θελεις πατησει επι λεοντα και επι ασπιδα· θελεις καταπατησει σκυμνον και δρακοντα.
Theleis patisei epi leonta kai epi aspida: theleis katapatisei skymnon kai drakonta.
你要踹在獅子和虺蛇的身上，踐踏少壯獅子和大蛇。
91:14 כִּ֤י בִ֣י ֖חָשַק וַאֲפַלְּטֵ֑הוּ ֜אֲשַׂגְּבֵ֗הוּ כִּי-יָ֘דַ֥ע שְמִֽי׃
Ki vi chashak va'afalletehu asagevehu ki-yada shemi.
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
Επειδη εθεσεν εις εμε την αγαπην αυτου, δια τουτο θελω λυτρωσει αυτον· θελω υψωσει αυτον, διοτι εγνωρισε το ονομα μου.
Επειδη εθεσεν εις εμε την αγαπην αυτου, δια τουτο θελω λυτρωσει αυτον· θελω υψωσει αυτον, διοτι εγνωρισε το ονομα μου.
神說：因為他專心愛我，我就要搭救他；因為他知道我的名，我要把他安置在高處。
91:15 יִקְרָאֵ֨נִי ׀ וְאֶעֱנֵ֗הוּ עִמּוֹ֣ אָנֹכִ֣י בְצָרָ֑ה ֜אֲחַלְּצֵ֗הוּ וַאֲכַבְּדֵֽהוּ׃
Yikra'eni ve'e'enehu imo anochi vetzarah achaletzehu va'achabedehu.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
Θελει με επικαλεισθαι, και θελω εισακουει αυτου· μετ' αυτου θελω εισθαι εν θλιψει· θελω λυτρονει αυτον και θελω δοξαζει αυτον.
Thelei me epikaleisthai, kai thelo eisakouei aftou: met' aftou thelo eisthai en thlipsei: thelo lytronei afton kai thelo doxazei afton.
他若求告我，我就應允他；他在急難中，我要與他同在；我要搭救他，使他尊貴。
91:16 אֹ֣רֶךְ ֖יָמִים אַשְׂבִּיעֵ֑הוּ ֜וְאַרְאֵ֗הוּ בִּישוּעָתִֽי׃
orech yamim asbi'ehu ve'ar'ehu bishu'ati.
"With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation." (ישׁועתי).
Θελω χορτασει αυτον μακροτητα ημερων και θελω δειξει εις αυτον την σωτηριαν μου.

Psalm 91 in the Siddur: Liturgical Occasions
In mainstream rabbinic tradition and the Siddur, Psalm 91 is known as Shir Shel Pega'im (The Song of Plagues or Evil Encounters). Because Jewish liturgy views the night, the changing of the Sabbath, and death as times when spiritual or physical dangers loom, the psalm is sung on four specific occasions:
