4:5 And Ashhur the avi Tekoa had two wives, H'elah and Naarah.
4:6 And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hefer, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These [were] Benai Naarah.
4:7 And Benai H'elah [were], Tzeret, and Yezoar, and Etnan.
4:8 And Coz begat Anuv, and Zovebah, and the families of Aharh'el Ben Harum.
4:9 And Ya'betz was more honourable than his achim: and his mother called his name Yabetz, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
4:10 And Ya'betz called on the Elohim (אלהים) of Yisra'el, saying: Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep [me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And Elohim (אלהים) granted him that which he requested.

4:13 And Benai Kenaz; Otni'el, and Sera'yah: and Benai Otni'el; Hatat.
4:14 And Meonotai begat Ofrah: and Sera'yah begat Yo'av, the avi Gey (valley) Charashim; for they were craftsmen.
4:15 And Benai Kalev Ben Yefunneh; Iru, Elah, and Naam: and Benai Elah, even Kenaz.
4:16 And Benai Yehal'ele'el; Zif, and Zifah, Tiria, and Asare'el.
4:17 And Benai Ezra [were], Yether, and Mered, and Efer, and Yalon: and she bare Miryam, and Shammai, and Yishvah the avi Eshtemoa.
4:18 And his wife Yehudi'yah bare Yered the avi Gedor, and Heber the avi Socho, and Yekuthi'el the avi Zanoah. And these [are] Benai Bith'yah bat Pharaoh, which Mered took.
4:19 And Benai [his] wife Hod'yah the sister of Naham, the avi Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
4:20 And Benai Shimon [were], Amnon, and Rinnah, Benhanan, and Tilon. And Benai Yishi [were], Zohet, and Benzohet.
4:21 Benai Shelah Ben Yehudah [were], Er the avi Lecah, and Laadah the avi Mareshah, and the families of the bayit of them that wrought fine linen, of the bayit of Ashbea,
4:22 And Yokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Yo'ash, and Saraf, who had the dominion in Moav, and Yashuvi-Lechem. And [these are] ancient things.
4:23 These [were] the potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the melekh for his work.
4:24 Benai Simeon [were], Nemu'el, and Yamin, Yariv, Zerah, [and] Shaul:
4:25 Shallum beno, Mibsam beno, Mishma beno.
4:26 And Benai Mishma; Hamu'el beno, Zakkhur beno, Shimei beno.
4:27 And Shimei had sixteen banim and six daughters; but his achim had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like to benai Yehudah.
4:28 And they dwelt at Beersheva, and Moladah, and Hatzar-shual,
4:29 And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
4:30 And at Bethu'el, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
4:31 And at Beit-Markavot, and Hazar-susim, and at Beit-birei, and at Shaaraim. These [were] their cities unto the reign of Davyid.
4:32 And their villages [were], Etam, and Ayin, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities:
4:33 And all their villages that [were] round about the same cities, unto Baal. These [were] their habitations, and their genealogy.
4:34 And Meshovav, and Yamlech, and Yoshah Ben Amatz'yah,
4:35 And Yo'el, and Yehu Ben Yosiv'yah, Ben Sera'yah, Ben Asi'el,
4:36 And Elyo'enai, and Ya'akovah, and Yeshoha'yah, and Asa'yah, and Adi'el, and Yesimi'el, and Bena'yah,
4:37 And Ziza Ben Shifi, Ben Allon, Ben Yeda'yah, Ben Shimri, Ben Shema'yah;
4:38 These mentioned by [their] names [were] sarim in their families: and the bayit of their avot increased greatly.
4:39 And they went to the entrance of Gedor, [even] unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.
4:40 And they found fat pasture and good, and the land [was] wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for [they] of Cham had dwelt there of old.
4:41 And these written by name came in the days of Yechizkiyahu melekh of Yehudah, and smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their rooms: because [there was] pasture there for their flocks.
4:42 And [some] of them, [even] of Benai Shimeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their captains Pelat'yah, and Near'yah, and Refa'yah, and Uzzi'el, Benai Yishi.
4:43 And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.
