28:1 And Davyid assembled kol ha Sarei Yisrael, ha Sarei ha shevatim (shevet (tribe)s), ve Sarei ha Machlekot (commanders) that mesharetim (ministers) to ha melekh by course, and Sarei ha Alafim (thousands), and Sarei ha Me'ot (hundreds), and Sarei kol rechush (Steward over all properties) and possession of ha melekh, and of his banim, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Yerushalayim.
28:2 Then Davyid ha melekh stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, My achim, and My people: [As for me], I [had] in mine heart to build an Beit rest for the ark of the covenant of YHWH (יהוה), and for the footstool of Eloheinu, and had made ready for the building:
28:3 But Elohim (אלהים) said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for My name, because Thou [hast been] a man of war, and hast shed blood.
28:4 Howbeit YHWH (יהוה) Elohim (אלהים) of Yisrael chose me before all the Beit My father to be king over Yisrael for ever: for he hath chosen Judah [to be] the ruler; and of the Beit Judah, the Beit My father; and among Benai My father he liked me to make [me] king over all Yisrael:
28:5 And of all My banim, (for YHWH (יהוה) hath given me many banim,) he hath chosen Sh'lomo (שׁלמה) beni to sit upon the throne of ha melekhdom of YHWH (יהוה) over Yisrael.
28:6 And he said unto me, Sh'lomo (שׁלמה) thy son, he shall build My house and My courts: for I have chosen him [to be] beni, and I will be his father.
28:7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do My mitzvot and My judgments, as at this day.
28:8 Now therefore in the sight of all Yisrael the congregation of YHWH (יהוה), and in the audience of Eloheinu, keep and seek for all the mitzvot of YHWH (יהוה) Eloheichem: that ye may possess this good land, and leave [it] for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
28:9 And Thou, Sh'lomo (שׁלמה) beni, know Thou the Elohim (אלהים) of thy father, and serve him with a levav shalem and with a willing mind: for YHWH (יהוה) searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if Thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if Thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
28:10 Take heed now; for YHWH (יהוה) hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do [it].
28:11 Then Davyid gave to Sh'lomo (שׁלמה) beno the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat,
28:12 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the Beit YHWH (יהוה), and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the Beit Elohim (אלהים), and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:
28:13 Also for the courses of the Kohanim and the Leviim, and for all the work of the avodah (service) of the Beit YHWH (יהוה), and for all the vessels of avodah (service) in the Beit YHWH (יהוה).
28:14 [He gave] of zahav by weight for [things] of zahav , for all instruments of all manner of service; [kesef also] for all instruments of kesef by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service:
28:15 Even the weight for the menorot ha zahav , and for their nerot ha zahav , by weight for every menorah, and for the nerot thereof: and for the menorat ha kesef by weight, [both] for the menorah, and [also] for the nerot (lamps) thereof, according to the use of every menorah.
28:16 And by weight [he gave] zahav for the Shulchanot ha Ma'arechet (tables of shewbread) , for every table; and [likewise] kesef for the tables of kesef:
28:17 Also pure zahav for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the zahav en basons [he gave zahav ] by weight for every bason; and [likewise kesef] by weight for every bason of kesef:
28:18 And for the altar of incense refined zahav by weight; and zahav for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out [their wings], and covered the ark of the covenant of YHWH (יהוה).
28:19 All [this, said Davyid], YHWH (יהוה) made me understand in writing by [his] hand upon me, [even] all the works of this pattern.
28:20 And Davyid said to Sh'lomo (שׁלמה) beno, Be strong and of good courage, and do [it]: fear not, nor be dismayed: for YHWH (יהוה) Elohim (אלהים), [even] Elohai, [will be] with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the avodah (service) of the Beit YHWH (יהוה).
28:21 And, behold, the courses of the Kohanim and the Leviim, [even they shall be with thee] for all the avodah (service) of the Beit Elohim (אלהים): and [there shall be] with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people [will be] wholly at thy commandment.
